Feeding Guide
Protein+ should always be fed with high-quality hay and or good quality pasture (1.5 – 2 lbs/100 lbs of Body Weight), free-choice salt and fresh, clean water. All feeding changes should be made slowly over a period of 7-10 days. Feed according to the following guide, always dividing the total amount of daily feed into a minimum of two feedings per day.
- •Maintenance – 0.15 – 0.175 lbs/100 lbs Body Weight
- •Light to Moderate Exercise – 0.175 – 0.2 lbs/100 lbs Body Weight
- •Pregnant Mare – 0.2 -0.25 lbs/100 lbs Body Weight
- •Lactating Mare – 0.3 – 0.325 lbs/100 lbs Body Weight
